ABV: 6.6%
Purchased at Bottle Revolution, Raleigh, NC for $1.79 for a 11.16oz Bottle.
Saw this on the shelf yesterday and being a “Stout Lover” I thought to myself why not give it a try.
Carib Brewery “Royal Extra Stout” poured with a nice two-finger, creamy, tan head and was an opaque Dark Mahgony in color.
The immediate smell was sweet Malts. Additional aromas I detected were Caramel and Dark Chocolate.
The initial moderate taste was definitely sweet. In my opinion, Royal Extra Stout would be alot closer to a Milk Stout than an Imperial Stout. As it warmed up Bourbon, Caramel and Dark Chocolate flavors were more up-front.
Royal Extra Stout had a syrupy and chewy mouthfeel. This stout had great texture, was smooth and very drinkable.

Buy Again: Yes
Overall Rating: I give Carib Brewery “Royal Extra Stout” a 7.5 out of 10.
