This bottle of Nugget Nectar was picked up via trade.
Tasting Size: 12oz Bottle.
According to the label, Troegs Nugget Nectar is an Imperial Amber.
I wanted it, I had to have it, so I traded my last can of Sixpoint “Resin” to get it!
Nugget Nectar Imperial Amber poured with a one-finger, foamy, off-white head and was a cloudy Straw/Orange in color. The immediate aromas were citrus and grapefruit. The secondary aroma was malts. Troegs used three (3) malts, five (5) hops, one (1) HopBack Hops and two (2) dry hops and ale yeast in the making of this Imperial Amber.
The initial taste was heavy citrus and sweet malts. It had a bitter-sweet tartness to it. As it warmed up the hops and malts blended so well together it was like a party in my mouth.
Nugget Nectar had a nice buttery and juicyfruit mouthfeel to it.
Nugget Nectar intensifies the malt and hop flavors to create an explosive hop experience!
Was it worth trading my last can of “Resin” for it, in my humble opinion it was well worth it!
Buy Again: If and when I can find it, Yes!
Overall Rating: I give Troegs Brewing Company “Nugget Nectar” an 8.5 out of 10.
