Purchased at Greene’s Discount Beverages, Columbia, SC for $2.49 for a 12oz Bottle.
Williamsburg Alewerks “Coffeehouse Stout” is made with Guatamala Antigua Coffee with “a little cream and sugar” added. Coffeehouse Stout is considered a Milk Stout.
Coffeehouse Stout poured with a really small fizzy, tan head and was a nice opaque Dark Mahogany in color.
The immediate smell was most definitely coffee/espresso. Additional aromas were caramel and malts.
The initial light taste was sweet, but not an “over-the-top” sweetness. Coffee/Espresso, Caramel and Chocolate flavors lasted throughout the tasting.
Coffeehouse Stout had a creamy and chewy mouthfeel. At 5.4% abv this Coffee/Milk Stout was real easy to drink and enjoy.
Even with all the great “Bottle Shops” I have in my area I wish we had a Greene’s Discount Beverage in this area!
Buy Again: Yes
Overall Rating:I give Williamsburg Aleworks “Coffeehouse Stout” a 7 out of 10.
