If you find yourself beaching it along the South Carolina coast this summer and get thirsty for some back home brew, you’ll be in luck. Carolina Brewery in Chapel Hill has signed a deal with Pearlstine Distributors Inc. for distribution of its beers in bars, restaurants, grocery stores and other retail accounts in Charleston and Hilton Head, S.C., and their surrounding communities.
Pearlstine will initially focus on the distribution of two signature Carolina Brewery beers, Sky Blue Golden Ale and Flagship IPA, by the keg to bars and restaurants and in six packs of 12-ounce cans to retailers and grocery. This is the sixth distribution deal signed by Carolina Brewery in the last three years, and the brews are now available in most of North Carolina.
Carolina Brewery owner Robert Poitras says, “Charleston and the surrounding areas share our passion for high quality food and beverage, so it was a natural choice for our first distribution location outside of North Carolina.”
